One month ago, we lost Grandpa Dan.
To be honest, I wasn't sure about publishing this post {until John accidentally hit publish on a VERY rough draft a few weeks ago. It was days until I realized it, unfortunately}.
I felt like Dan's celebration of life might be too personal for the WORLD-wide-web. Why recap it online when those who knew and loved him the most were there in person???
Because not everyone was there.
Then I realized why I started this blog in the first place, and continue to keep it current {semi-regularly}---
To keep those we love, near and far, in-the-know.
.
To keep a family history.
.
To enjoy spending some of my {limited} free time in a creative, reflective, honest space.
.
.
.
Call me an over-sharer, but this is my church.
Plus, I know there's a lovely couple on the other side of the world who were sad not to be there in person, and would appreciate some specifics.
.
.
.
It was a beautiful celebration.
Old friends from the guard, bowling buddies, fellow Serbs, lifelong friends, loved ones and more were there to support, share stories, and remember such a special man. He was very loved.
The place was packed.

The kiddos really lit up the room too, as usual.
And, Luciano's was once again the very best, most meaningful location to host this special event.
.....................................................................................................................................................
It was an unforgettable day, for an unforgettable man.
love, kerry
