Selfishly, I loved being on call this weekend.

Bummer John had to work, but at least we were home and all together.

It has been recently brought to my attention that SOME OF YOU {not naming names} may be finding my blog posts lately a bit shorter, and less thoughtful than usually.

Geez...... SORRY! 

Not like I'm busy quitting my job, setting up a business, establishing my company brand and values, hitting up potential new clients, leasing office space, WORKING, hiring an employee...

And, I'm not at all busy being a full time mommy with responsibilities including mealtime, bath time, diaper time, play time, walk time, park time, dance time, read time, beach time, sticker time....

And, oh yeah- full time wife too, busy with... there's gotta be something....sorry John.
Just kidding.

Also brought to my attention this week:

For a house with a tall, rambunctious toddler- we have WAY too many Sharpie Markers. Where the hell did they all come from? Costco?


Peanut butter SHOULD NOT be a part of EVERY meal in our house. We. Are. Gross. 
Peanut butter on bread for breakfast, a spoonful for a snack, PB&J for lunch, another spoonful (with chocolate) for dessert. It just needs to stop.


No one in Orange County owns their car. It's not possible, and I won't believe otherwise. It's all about the LEASE and UPGRADE around here...Just keeping up with the Joneses, I suppose.


Speaking of Orange County, Real Housewives- I'm so glad you're back! But, HD-DVR- thanks for letting me record and watch on my own time!


Audrey CANNOT go into the bathroom alone ANYMORE. She locked herself in for the second time today, screaming and crying for me to save her...It was horrific. But, it got even worse when I ran to the kitchen to fetch a knife and set her free, and stepped in some fresh Jesse puke on the kitchen floor...Barefoot. Lesson learned- use the freaking baby proof door lock!

Introducing....

I don't even know where to start. 

Thank you SO MUCH to my amazing family and friends who have all been so supportive these last few weeks while I've been a stressed, frazzled mess. And, especially thanks to those who MADE THINGS HAPPEN, literally overnight, just to help me hit the ground running. 

Only two days in to this new venture, and things are looking GOOD.

Real good. 

I made the best decision. 

And, I am so happy.

Independence Day

Good morning,

This day is finally here!!!!!!!!!!!!
My Independence Day. 

Few of you know this, but two weeks and one day ago, I quit my job for something bigger.

Goodbye consistent paycheck.
Goodbye retirement fund.
And, {sadly}, goodbye to some really talented, really fun, just really good people- some of my former co-workers.

But, I'm only looking forward now, and I'm moving on to something better- my own business.

MY very own PR and Marketing Agency. 
MY chance to do business the way I want to do it. MY chance to execute work the way I want to do it. MY chance to work with clients the way I want to do it. MY chance to do business where I want to do it. MY chance to have complete control over the way MY team will work internally.

I have a vision, a plan for something new.

Something that I believe my future clients, my future employees, and of course myself will really be happy about.

As you can imagine, today will be busy.
Bring. It. On.

I'd also like to mention that in addition to being my first official day "on my own", today is also Audrey's 17th Month Birthday! Yay! And, if that still wasn't enough to make 2/8 special forever- our good friends, Jamie and Graham are in Kauai today- getting married.

Stuck On You!

So, stickers are kind of a big deal at chez-nous. 


Audrey is fascinated by these little pieces of beautiful, colorful paper, that feel so funny on her fingers, and stick exactly where she wants...

At our house, stickers {mostly Disney princess-themed, flower and/or hearts} are on the usual targets- paper, books, her body.

But, I've got a creative baby who thinks outside the box- and on the furniture, on the dog, on her toys, the phone, the toilet.

I've seen it all.

But, this one sticker tonight...really, the inspiration for this entire silly sticker post... was carefully selected, brought to me as a surprise, and applied to my sweatshirt by her perfect little piggies....

She always knows JUST what to say...right when I need to hear it...
