How to Trap a Leprechaun

Step One: Find a box, and wrap it in white paper.

Step Two: Color (green, of course)!

Step Three: Fill with the Leprechaun's favorite treat, Lucky Charms!! Finally, insert straws to anchor and release the trap once he finishes eating!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

La la la la la.

John went to a conference recently in Pasadena, and instead of making the commute both days from Irvine, he suggested we make a weekend of it in LA!!

And, I'm so glad we did!!

First and foremost, Audrey and I made it a point to see Daddy's research poster on display.
We were so proud!!! He was only a little embarrassed.

But, the embarrassment didn't stop there!!
Look what conference was in the next room over:

Yup, a pet conference!!

Naturally, they gave me a press badge and we walked through it for a bit.
Audrey enjoyed seeing all the fun dogs, and a real grooming competition (yup, those exist)...

We even spotted a client!

She's a perfect spokesmodel, right?

While John was working all day, Audrey and I got in some quality girly time... We shopped in downtown Pasadena and, of course, visited THE house from "Father of the Bride" before making our way back to the hotel.

I know! It was just as beautiful as you'd expect.

That night we had Asian for dinner (can't get enough)...

It was relaxing and delicious!!

On Sunday, Audrey and I played at a park in Hollywood....

We enjoyed some (rooftop) pool time at our very hip hotel.

And, we even drove by the red carpet on Oscar Sunday!!
You can't see it very well in the photo, but we were able to spot the Oscar statues at the entrance from our car.

It was a pretty awesome weekend in la la land!!

Tahiti!!!

Way back when (in January), John and I spent a crazy amazing 10 days in Tahiti!!!

We went for work, actually (to film a "reality show"... yeah... but, more on that later.... like AFTER it airs. Contracts, ya know?).

It was simply incredible! The French Polynesia spans the size of Europe, and is made up of about 120 islands. Note to self: skip Hawaii and spend two more hours on the plane to get to Tahiti!! You know me, I love French culture and you can really feel its influence in this very laid back, BEAUTIFUL environment.

As part of our TV experience, we got to visit a variety of diverse islands within Tahiti. We stayed on the main island (for one night), before heading to the more rugged area of Rangiroa (most famous worldwide for the best scuba diving spots). We spent a few nights in TOTAL PARADISE, on a luxury private island, Motu Teta. It was perfection- from the accommodations, the FOOD, the staff, the activities... For a second, I thought was a REAL celebrity. ;)

We visited a semi-private island oh-so-famous with pro surfers, Ninamu. Where the adorable bungalows are constructed out of coral, and we swam with sharks!

For vacationers from France, the Le Taha'a is their version of staying at a "Four Seasons". This beautifully romantic, 5 Star resort has the iconic overwater bungalows you expect to see in Tahiti. The staff treated us like celebrities too (jokes on them, right!), with surprise entertainment and excellent food. We felt like (rich) honeymooners.

We also spent a day on Vahine Island which felt like a tropical summer camp. The small island offers guests either beachfront cabins, or there are a few overwater bungalows. Perhaps 14 other couples max would share this island with you on your vacation. The views of Bora Bora in the distance are beautiful, and again- the staff was incredible and the food delicious!

When the (not so) hard TV work was done, we made the most of being all the way in the French Polynesia and spent a few more relaxing days, just the two of us, at the St. Regis in Bora Bora!

Ahhhhh... take me back!!

John got some amazing photos, and at some point I will share them with you here on the blog!!
But, at least I (finally) made a video for you, right?!?!!

So check it out, our dream vacation in Tahiti.... John, can I get a clap?
