Breakfast in the Bay

This morning we woke up, and decided having breakfast in San Francisco sounded like a nice idea. 

And, it was REALLY nice...

Apple Hill!

We had a wonderFALL family day in Apple Hill!!

It was such a beautiful drive from Sacramento, and the day really put us in a festive mood!

We picked up some pumpkins (John found this cool, grey one). 

We played in the apple orchards. 

Ran through corn mazes... 

And enjoyed all the fresh apples, apple pie, and apple cider that we could handle!!

It was such a fun day!! We've got to make this day trip a tradition! 

Field Trippin'

Audrey's FIRST class field trip was to an adorable, local pumpkin patch!!

The kids enjoyed the petting zoo, learned about how pumpkins grow, visited with a beekeeper and of course, took home their own pumpkin to carve!

Volleyball!

One of the best decisions I made since our move was to coach the 6th grade volleyball team at Audrey's school. It was an awesome way to meet some parents, plus Audrey made some great "big girl" friends at school, and it was just so much fun!! 

We did pretty well too during the season. Won a few more games than we lost, but the girls really learned a lot about volleyball. At the coaches' awards dinner, Audrey was recognized with the "Best Coach's Assistant" award too. 

Let me just say now, she's going to TOTALLY dominate one day.

Birthday Babe!

Unreal. Audrey's one full hand this year. 

I think one of the coolest things about having a birthday fall over a holiday weekend is that you don't just get one day to celebrate, you get all three! Well, at least Audrey does. We spent her birthday weekend up at Donner Lake, and it was a blast!
